After rehearsals are over, pop the stick back in the pocket and go home, continue from the same frame, with undo levels intact and all project files and plugins (note, you can only use plugins that don't require any installing or licensing, doable but it is a bit of a bummer.) Something that you could only dream about and still is not possible with any other DAW. USB stick in backpocket, pop in the control room, start working. I used Reaper on one theater play and using it in portable. But i got back the things i loved about Samplitude. I have to say, we clicked and i know that without that "click" it is not that fast for everyone. Routing was something that, i kid you not again, i almost cried how easy it was. Totally new DAW, 30 minutes and i was done. Downloaded Reaper and i kid you not, i had that simple project set up in less than 30 minutes. Uploaded files to homeserver, by the time i arrived they were finished. It was a frustration that grew and grew and finally i snapped. Then one day my patience ended, i was just doing simple rock band, trio pre-mixing edits and organizing, there was a lot of routing to do to make nice sub groups for that style of mixing. I switched to pro tools for a while but couldn't stand it's rigid "we are AVID, your lord and master, you change your workflow around us".

Nice bit of flexibility and quite good audio engine, used it for few years on theater. 256 projects open at the same time? yes please.

I used to use Samplitude, picked up that habit from one of my teachers who used it for doing theater sound, it is quite perfect for that. Don't worry, you are upvoted again, don't pay any attention to the voting here.
